Dear Readers,

This week all systems seem to be telling us to slow down and take a step back. This is drastically different from the "GIT'ER DUN" energy that we have had for the past three months.

Mercury starts to slow down on April 18th (Tuesday) and officially goes retrograde On April 21st (Friday). Mercury retrograde impacts communication, technology, and transportation. However, don't fret, planets going retrograde serve an important purpose in our spiritual development: the key for retrograde season is "re", this is the time to rethink, redo, re-evaluate.

We have a New Moon on Thursday that's also a Solar Eclipse. Eclipses often bring about unexpected and drastic changes in our lives. As Susan Miller explains, "With all eclipses, something ends and something else begins." We recommend you to act cautiously during this time period as we don't know what the Universe will eclipse out of our lives.

Shortly after the New Moon Solar Eclipse, we welcome in the Taurus Season. This shift also supports us to transition into this new energy as a prominent message of Sun in Taurus is: "slow down and stabilize".

On Tuesday, in the Mayan solar calendar, we enter the second phase of the Blue Western Eagle Season of Transforming Vision. We are about halfway through this season which lasts a total of 65 days. This is a season of transformation as brought about by the cosmic influences around us. We are advised to surrender and allow.

All in all, we've been pushing hard over the past three months to get our new projects out of the door. Now is the time to step back, evaluate, adjust where necessary, wait for the dust to settle before determining our next move.

• 9:34PM ET: Solar Eclipse begins

  • This is a Hybrid Solar Eclipse that changes from annular to total to annular. Hybrid eclipses are extremely rare, accounting for only 3.1% of all eclipses that took place in the 21st century.

  • The eclipse is visible in North West Cape peninsula and Barrow Island in Western Australia, eastern parts of East Timor, as well as Damar Island and parts of the province of Papua in Indonesia.

  • Solar eclipses often bring about unexpected opportunities, the opening of new doors

  • However, what we also need to remember is that eclipses come in pairs. A Full Moon Lunar Eclipse will arrive on May 5th, 2023. Lunar Eclipses often bring about emotional endings. Between the two eclipses, we recommend moving slowly and cautiously, as it won't be clear what is ending and what is beginning till after May 5th.
